WHY YOU WERE CREATED (Part 3)
Our Thought for this week is:
The Thought Exposed
In the light of the verses of the scripture below, we did established in the first issue of this theme; “Why You were Created” that there are three reasons God made man. Yes! The first chapter of Genesis exposes God’s intention for creating you.
“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping things that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” - Genesis 1:26 - 28.
These three basic reasons God gave you life are:
1.To have dominion
2.To be fruitful and multiply
3.To fill the earth and subdue it
These reasons are virtually the purpose given to man by God. You are not here by accident. Your birth is on purpose. And not until you discover this, can you become a super success in life. Last week nugget exposed the second reason God created man. But this week, we shall be discussing the third and final reason God created man. Stay tight.
TO FILL THE EARTH AND SUBDUE IT
“Then God blessed them, and God said to them…fill the earth and subdue it” - Genesis 1:28”
To fill the earth and subdue it is the third basic reason you were created. This is the ability to bring forth children. God has already blessed you, so nothing can curse you. You are told to fill the earth. It wasn’t a suggestion, it was a statement of fact and automatically, it is a command. Therefore, there is no room for barrenness.
Once you are lawfully married, you are under the covenant of fruitfulness. I mean you have the ability to fill the earth. So, no matter what the report is - be it from a medical practitioner - I do not care. All I know is you are blessed to fill the earth. May I say therefore that one of your purposes on earth is procreation. An understanding of your right to procreate is the strongest weapon against barrenness.
It is not just enough for you to bring forth children, you also have a responsibility to influence them positively. Yes, I like you to know that the power to instil in your children true values and good attitude is also engrossed in your ability to procreate.
You got to build and train up your offspring in the fear of the Lord. And never you forget that your children watch your actions and hear your words. They watch what you do daily and they listen to your conversation also. Whether you know this or not the effect of your presence in their lives can either be encouraging or discouraging. It can either make or unmake. Yes! This effect of your presence can either affect them positively or negatively. This is why you must be very careful how you live your life. Therefore, live your life to affect lives positively. This is your purpose in life too and not just to procreate.
I like to end this nugget by saying; every tree that does not bear fruit will be cut off. Just like you would do with your orange tree. The same is true of God. God has a way of moving unproductive people to the side and raising up productive people. So, be wise and may you not be moved aside.
Thought lessons:
Once you are lawfully married, you are under the covenant of fruitfulness.
An understanding of your right to procreate is the strongest weapon against barrenness.
The power to instil in your children true values and good attitude is also engrossed in your ability to procreate.
Thank you for taking out time to read through this week’s Esteem Thoughts. Your life is just about to begin. So see you next week. God bless you and keep you safe.
