BE ALONE BUT NOT LONELY
Our Thought for this week is:
The Thought Exposed
This is one of the greatest secrets of the genius. Most of the world’s greatest, if not all, have one common habit, which is to stay alone most of the time. It is a time you have to tell yourself the truth! You cannot and will not pretend! There is no eye-service! At this stage, you are not trying to please anybody. This act allows you to be yourself and brings out the best in you.
Friends! To be alone does not necessarily mean that you are lonely. When it is a matter of choice, then you cannot be lonely.
“Loneliness is not who you are with, it is who you are”.
The Eagle is a great bird. They are otherwise called the king of the birds! One of the reputable characters that make them so outstanding is the fact that the eagles do not move in flock like their counterparts. You hardly see two eagles together. But most of the other birds do flock. This is the secret behind the eagle’s intelligence, power and outstanding nature.
CREATIVITY AT ITS BEST: BILL GATES
“Silence is an environment in which great ideas are birthed”.
I like you to know that your creativity is at its best when you are alone. It is an environment where great ideas naturally flow from the inside. And this environment allows you to harness and put to proper use the fullness of the brain.
Friends! If you must become the world’s greatest, you need to explore this achievers' price. Develop the habit of staying alone at times. You must separate yourself from your friends, classmates, and roommates once in a while so as to be creative in becoming the greatest. And this makes available for you, room for meditation, one of the tools of a genius.
Records have it that one of the world’s greatest, Bill Gates, the Microsoft wizard was always found to be alone in his early days. This indispensable act of his got to a point in his life that his mother confronted him one day, “Bill where are you? Why are you always moody and isolated?” In response, Bill said to his mother, “Mum, Don't you think I am thinking?” No wonder, he ended up as the 'god of Microsoft'. And may I announce to you that he is the richest man in our generation today.
ASSOCIATION PROBLEM
I got to discover that most of the world’s greatest have association problems. Many people complain of their lack of hand in friendship. Hear me! It is not association problem. It is their choice to be alone most of the time. And that does not mean that they are lonely, moody or isolated.
As a student who wants to be outstanding in his academic, you must take out time to separate yourself. Don't always be in the company of friends. Ah! You are too busy! Give yourself a break! Are you Deputy God? You need to know that God has no deputy.
Why are you so occupied with unnecessary and irrelevant things? Lose yourself! This is a sure way to becoming the world’s greatest in your career and in the world of academics.
We've got to learn from the greatest of the world’s greatest, the man Jesus. The Holy Book has this to say of him, that He (Jesus) usually withdrew himself from the crowd and his disciples into a solitary place. Yes! He became the greatest leader that ever lived. And He is still very much effective today. There is power in being alone!
Thought lessons:
To be alone does not necessarily mean that you are lonely.
Develop the habit of staying alone at times.
Your creativity is at its best when you are alone.
